A removal in the street in Paris
The facts took place Thursday around 10:30 am on avenue du Maine in the 14th arrondissement of Paris. Passers -by saw four hooded individuals forcing a man in his sixties to climb into a van with the insignia of a large transport company, leaving his dog on the sidewalk. Two days later, the investigators were finally able to locate the victim, retained in a pavilion in Essonne, in the Paris region. Thanks to an assault on the Research and Intervention Brigade (BRI), the man was released Saturday around 9 p.m.
Very weakened, the sixty -something man was struck and had a cut finger. The victim is the father of a man who made a fortune in the cryptocurrencies, explained the Paris prosecutor’s office, who specifies that a ransom request for several million euros was made. It amounted between 5 and 7 million euros, according to information from Parisian. An amount that has not been confirmed by the prosecution.
To support this ransom request, the kidnappers sent a video of the man who had been cut off, according to a source close to the investigation in Franceinfo, confirming information from RTL. Heard by the investigators, the victim’s wife revealed that her husband and her son had already been threatened in the past.
