LeAnn Rimes has stepped down from her role as a coach on The Voice after just one series.

Singer LeAnn, 42, joined the ITV music talent show last year after a stint on the Australian version.

She had expressed her passion for the role, saying: “For me it’s not just about creating performances but creating moments that are really powerful.”

But LeAnn has revealed her decision to hang up her coaching hat to concentrate on her career in the US.

She will be taking on the role of mega mentor on the American version of the show alongside Sheryl Crow.

An insider told The Sun : “LeAnn loved her time on the UK show, but wants to focus on her career in the States.”

The source added that she was a hit behind the scenes and was hugely popular with the cast and crew.

With LeAnn’s departure, the search is now on for a new female singer to join the all-star line-up, the source continued.

While no decisions have reportedly been made yet, discussions are said to be underway.

“The show will film for the 14th series later this summer,” the source noted.

The rest of the judges will be returning for another series. Tom Jones will be back, along with Will.I.Am.

McFly members Danny Jones and Tom Fletcher will also return after joing the show last year.

It will be I’m A Celeb winner Danny’s first TV appearance following the controversy surrounding his kiss with campmate Maura.

Olly Murs was previously a judge on the show, but was axed after six years in 2023.

At the time, Olly disclosed that his exit wasn’t as amicable as some might have thought.

He said at the time: “I don’t want to sit here like other artists might, and shine and gloss this up and say, ‘It was my decision’.

“I don’t want to b******* my fans or ******* people who watch the show, and say, ‘Oh, it was an amicable decision to leave — I’ve got lots of things on next year, I can’t do it any more’.”
