The investigation into the assassination of Aboubakar Cissé in a Mosque in the Gard is increasing. During a press conference given this Friday, the Public Prosecutor of Nîmes, Cécile Gensac, lifted the veil on the motivations that seem to be hiding behind the 57 stab wounds given in the Khadidja mosque of Grand-Combe (Gard), Friday, April 25.
“The facts seem to be built around the obsessive desire to kill a person,” said prosecutor. She insisted on the absence of any claim or belonging to an ideological group: “He is an individual who acted in an isolated context, unrelated to an organization disseminating a discourse of terror. The National Anti -Rorist Prosecutor’s Office (PNAT) therefore did not retain the terrorist qualification, although “remains under observation on this sensitive issue”.

The investigation highlighted an unstable personality, guided by a “morbid fascination” and a blind will to do harm. Olivier Hadzovic, 20, born in Béziers in a Christian family who is not practicing 11 children, lived in the Grand-Combe. On social networks, especially on Discord, he had expressed a few days before his acting his will to “rape women” and “kill”, without ever targeting a particular religion or origin.
