Trump unveils his ultra-conservative and security budget

The White House unveiled the first draft budget of Donald Trump’s second term, a project that size in the programs against its ultra-conservative ideas, sparing only military and security expenses

The text, a first draft which will have to follow a long and difficult parliamentary course, includes a 13% increase in the defense budget and 65% of that of internal security. But it also provides 22% cuts in state non-military expenses, $ 163 billion.

It is a question of “reducing or removing programs + Woke + diverted against average Americans, unnecessary spending or which fall under states or local authorities”, explained the American executive.

This project lists Donald Trump’s priorities, without mentioning the “revenue” part and therefore the whole tax component, which will be detailed in a more excavated text expected in May.

The final decision belongs to the congress, which will be based on these main lines of the American president to write the twelve different laws necessary each year to the development of the budget.

During a press conference, White House officials explained that they were “united” behind Doge, this commission to reduce the public expenditure led by the Multimillionaire Elon Musk, ally of Donald Trump. And in fact, the text bears the mark of the boss of Tesla, which has already turned upside down the functioning of the federal administration, by returning thousands of civil servants and by closing entire agencies.

The chief of the Democrats in the Senate Chuck Schumer immediately denounced the text as “an attack in good standing against the Americans who work hard”.

The budgetary project promises to finance “massive evictions and put a stop to the flood of advantages granted without limits to illegal migrants”, according to the White House.

“Dangerous ideologies”

Many cuts desired by the republican government target programs deemed “Woke”, the derogatory term used by the conservatives to designate policies to promote diversity or university research currents on gender or racial discrimination. The White House has in particular taken in its viewfinder the major American development aid agency, USAID, one of the Trump government favorite targets.

“American development aid has been directed to far left priorities,” asserts the American executive, announcing for example the end of subsidies to family planning programs in Afghanistan, Syria and Africa. The White House also attacks the referent referent authorities in terms of health and climate, already deeply reshaped by the Republican President.

The powerful organization responsible for medical research, the NIH, would see its budget tumbled, from around 48 to 27 billion dollars. The Trump administration accuses him of having promoted “dangerous ideologies” by funding in particular a study on the mental health of transgender adolescents.

The executive also targets a number of programs on climate change and renewable energies, some of which are satellite surveillance used to establish “unnecessary climatic measures”. These data provided by the NOAA (the American Oceanic and Atmospheric Observation Agency) and NASA is used by climatologists from around the world to study the advance of climate change.

The NOAA, also accused of having “radicalized the students” and preaching “climate alarmism” would see its research budget melt while NASA would be forced to abandon a project to return to the land of rock samples collected on Mars – while focusing on sending men to the red planet.
