The number of authors present also increases. “Last year, we were about forty. Here, we are approaching sixty. They are almost all authors who will be there on two days, except a few who come only on Saturday or Sunday, but they represent only 10% of the guests.”

Why renew the initiative? “The demand was strong, both among the authors and in the public. There are not so many literary events in the region, except possibly in Hamoir. And we have had very positive feedback. Many have told us:” We must continue. “”

Part-Belle to premises

The program remains voluntarily simple. “We don’t want to bring big headliners. What we want is to highlight authors who stand out for their work, often in specific genres or in local literature.” Among them, this year we find well -known names of local readership, including Frédéric Jacquet, who will be present with his two novels or Séverine Gomez who will be present with her four novels.

Another expected name: that of the starry chef Marie Trignon, the Roseraie. “She will be there on Sunday for a dedication session from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.. It attracts another type of audience, people who know her or who just want to meet her.”

In terms of entertainment, few new features this year.“We thought of a musical duo, but it will depend on the personal situation of one of them. On the other hand, the Fleur de Glacier de Ice will be there on Sunday, for two hours or more if there are people.”

Still brand new, the Sleip’livre fair seems to seduce, but it still takes time to Marie Marquet to find her marks to offer more entertainment. More interactive activities are therefore already envisaged for 2026. “We plan to enrich the program, but as it is a first in this new place, we prefer to remain cautious for this edition.”

Attention, prohibited flight

A message is in good place in the communication of the show: “Vol prohibited”. A simple precaution? “No, it is not trivial. I saw what happened in other fairs, where people take advantage of the crowds to slide books in their bag. It is not acceptable. As an author, you are not paid to be there, it is not the jackpot. You have to respect this work.”
