LE BBM is fine, thank you! To the sorrowful souls who promised them an after trophy Cup of France laborious, the men of Gilles Versier and Devan Bailey responded with a seriousness and an involvement worthy of praise. The opponent was certainly no first “stuffing”, as we say, but he had the merit of never really lowering a flag, even remaining long moments hanging at only ten points apart … and this, until the local machine really puts himself at the head to make a notable difference in the wake of his “tank” Emmanuel Macron.
At 5e Minute there were already these famous ten points apart from the score obtained by Hugo Pellure, Rémi Demont and Olivier Obiejesi putting an end to three initial minutes of awkwardness and procrastination, all reinforced around 4etwo sumptuous long -range shots by Vincent Couzigou. We were already at 20-10 at 6ewhen Obiejesi then intercepted a ball between the visitors Cissé and Delattre who “dribblot” with the family near the opposing painting, before tumbled over the entire length of the prosecution.
The BBM led to the first turn (32-19) and there were hardly any doubts about the outcome of the debates. Demont brought the recovery, on a 3-point basket, the advance of his family at 37-21 (11e). But thanks to his Captain Ferré, in Caron and inside Mingdu, the Loire-Atlantique Legion was still afraid-but from a distance-however, only a 20-19 meritority in the second ten minutes (52-38 at the break.)
The BBM takes off
After the rest, the debates took a completely different dimension … Monceau fell the public by leaving all its arsenal of blind passes, feints of body and passes, powerful rushs towards the circle, halfway baskets and other fantasies … Seck was multiplied in the rebound, “Terminator” Ekambi, as Monceau calls him, took up his revenge on a few managed the basket practically from the center of the field at the end of the period.
“I modestly say that we are in the continuity of what we have just accomplished”
In the final stretch, Gilles Versier brought in the two youngsters Alexandre Devillard and Franck Vincenzi who also gave himself to heart and swell the scoring, while Théo Lhorlie, impeccable under the circle, succeeded everything he undertook. We almost forget that “Magic” Gendrey, very strongly asked for Accor Arena, was wisely at the paddock. He would have certainly added to the show … In short, a compliant evening, as we expected and the word at the end could return to one of the opposing coaches evoking the difficulty of his boys: “We had taken about thirty at the JSA Bordeaux at the start of the season, only two in Toulouse a few weeks ago, a little more than a dozen in Esms but there, it stung it and we took it very much! It puts a blow on the head. »»
In principle, as early as Thursday (2 p.m.) in Meilhan-sur-Garonne, a land where it is not necessarily well seen, the BBM should be operational to face the pre-nationals of Tursan (R1, + 14) in the quarterfinals “South West”.
Reaction
Jean-François Kicin (president of BB Marmande): “I modestly say that we are in the continuity of what we have just accomplished. The match was certainly a little unbridled by moments, but we are obliged to spare the troops somewhat. The young people had playing time and they were performing, that’s good! I learn that ESMS lost to Niort, so we come back to first place with them, even if they remain primary. Anyway, we do not fix this! We have an important match Thursday in Meilhan and what reassured me is that we did a good performance. The important thing is that the many audiences who filled the room had fun! »»
