For a beautiful day, it was a beautiful day! Saturday, April 26, 2025, the gymnasium of the Marres de Sisteron and its surroundings were taken by storm by the members of the Sisteron Basket Club and many supporters. The club, created in 1985 by James Mardinli celebrated its 40 years of existence.
James Mardinli was the first president, followed by Jean-Marc Meyer, then Michel Mathieu, Jean-François Beaumont and finally, Stéphane Sanchez who watches over the destinies of the club today.
If the Sisteron Basket Club is very present, of course, on the sporting level, it also participates in friendly and charities in his city of Sisteron, as pink October (awareness of breast cancer screening) or the city carnival where he recently presented a tank on the theme of Egypt. And each year, we find all members and their families during a memorable Christmas party.
A great season and positive results
In 2025, the club had 76 licensees, which range from the U7 category to the senior category. He had a new office of eight members, and there are two supervisors for children aged 6 to 13. This year, a U11 team contributes to the departmental championship, and to date, 6 victories on the 8 games she has played. In addition, the club has teams in 3×3 U15 Mixtes, U18 and Male and Female Seniors, as well as a mixed adult leisure section.
Note the organization of several development trays for the U7 and U9 categories and the participation of U13 U13 categories on the same trays in the department. The Sisteronic basketball players participate in the improvement center organized by the 04-05 territorial committee. Very active club, the Sisteron Basket Club is undoubtedly a success.
