Long carried by their defense and Hugo Robineau in attack, the Boulazacois saw Évreux return to two lengths in the heart of the third quarter. They then gave an accelerator, like Samuta Avea, to definitively distance the red lantern (88-58) and continue to believe in first place. At worst, it is now a certainty, they will finish second. Relive the meeting below.
First quarter
Évreux first has the advantage (2-4, 1st) by hitting inside like Aaron Levarity. But Hugo Robineau quickly takes matters into hand. With in particular a 3 -point and a “and one”, the back inscribes the first ten Boulazacois points. And when he leaves, while Yvan Ouedraogo misses the free throws, Louis Cassier takes over from the Corner (13-8, 5th). And the Boulazacois bench widens the gap, with a good defense and by finding solutions near the circle, especially with Babacar Mbye (17-10, 8th). A award-winning basket of Marcos Suka-Umu allows you to lead 23-12, before Anthony Da Silva replied at the very end of the period (25-17, 10th).
Second quarter
With a 3-point then an alley-oop narrowly succeeded on a pass from Robineau, Samuta Avea rebuilds the gap above ten points. And Clément Cavallo amplifies it with an interception (34-19, 14th). But, behind, the BBD no longer finds an address from afar for more than four minutes, until a success of Cyrille Eliezer-Vanerot (37-21, 19th). Fortunately, the Bouricians are not more skillful and still have a hard time developing their game. Despite a technical fault for the Norman coach Marc Namura, the free throws of ex-Boulazacois Alexis Tanghe (6/6 at half-time) and the perigord failures allow visitors to limit breakage at halftime (38-27).
Third quarter
Only Norman exterior posing real problems by its liveliness, Dorian Anglooma brings his own to 42-37 on a award-winning basket (24th). Also because Boulazac is finding it increasingly difficult to find solutions in opposing defense on half-terrain. Then Évreux hammered inside, where Ouedraogo and Gus Okafor still bring their team closer, while Angelo Warner received his fourth fault (45-43, 26th). Robineau must even come back to counter Ouedraogo and then enter a lay-up to avoid equalization. And his awarded people with Da Silva fault is doing much good (52-44, 28th). But apart from it, the BBD still has a trouble external address level (56-48, 30th).
Fourth quarter
The score advances with moderately successful free throws (59-51, 32nd). Until Suka-Umu goes to place a lay-up before serving Avea behind the arc. Thomas Ville imitates him and the difference seems made (67-51, 34th). Especially since if the Normans take offensive rebounds, it is because they miss a lot, like Levarity alone under the circle. Avea, he offers himself a “and one” before Warner comes out of his box for a 3 -point. After an interception of the winger, the two men then succeeded in a “one-two” to fold the meeting (80-54, 37th). However, if Ouedraogo puts an end to almost five minutes of Bourician scarcity, Avea and Boulazac continue to grab, the general-movement point that can be decisive for first place on arrival (88-58, 30th).
“There was a time of balance in the third quarter, which we managed to take. It’s a great team victory, I liked our face. »(Hugo Robineau, BBD player)
“It was a victory that took a long time to take shape because Évreux disturbed us by multiplying the defenses. The absence of Paul Rigot on their side is not neutral either. The legs were heavy but we did the job. (Alexandre Ménard, BBD coach)
