Fos-sur-Mer-Poitiers: 77-78
The Poitiers Basket was shifted this Saturday, May 3, 2025, in Fos-sur-Mer, on the occasion of the 36e Pro B day.
Victorious of their last match against Hyères-Toulon (83-76), the Poitevins, still diminished by the absences of Blair and Ojiako, knew how to chain in the Bouches-du-Rhône to win their 21e Success of the season. Hanging by the ditches at the break (33-35), the protégés of Andy Thornton-Jones were able to accelerate in the third quarter to give themselves a little bit of air (54-63). Their opponents did not drop, however and returned to four units less than 30 seconds from the end of the match (71-75), even to a possession in the final moments (74-77).
But failing to avoid being afraid, the PB has at least assured the essentials in the last seconds to win (77-78) thanks, in particular, to the best scorer of the match, Kévin Harley (21 points). Luka Rupnik was also important in this victory, with his 17 points and 5 assists.
Returning to Pau-Lacq-Orthez and Gries-Souffel, the Poitevins will try to stretch their positive series on Friday, May 9, at Arena Futuroscope, facing the Sharks of Antibes.
