In basketball, among young people, the categories are divided into several units from 6 years old (U7, U9, U11, U13, U15 and Leisure). The U13 section is particularly well represented this year in Seurre and includes two teams in the departmental championship, one for girls and one for boys.
The club organized a 3X3-U13-U15 female basketball tournament on Sunday, April 27, with the clubs of Chevigny-Saint-Sauveur and Saint-Loup-Géanges (Saône-et-Loire). La Rubi’CUP, a competition named one of the members who disappeared recently, has seen six teams meet (two for Chevigny, one for Saint-Loup-Géanges and three for Seurre).
A new interest in Basketball at three from the Olympic Games
The purpose of this event was to create links with other clubs, but also to highlight basketball, which has experienced an increasingly important membership, particularly from the Place de Vice-Olympique (at the Olympic Games in Paris 2024) of the French teams in 5×5 and 3×3.
During the tournament, Seurre was represented with eleven of his members U13-U15, including eight committed to the Departmental Women’s U13 championship, for their first year together. The club and their coaches obviously wish them the best for this year, while wishing to attract other players and players.
