The National Météo-France forecaster placed today on Sunday, May 4, half of the departments of the south of France, from Doubs to Charente-Maritime on Sunday May 4 on yellow vigilance for risk of thunderstorms and flooding.
Among these departments, all those of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, including La Loire, Drôme, Rhône, Savoie and Haute-Savoie, etc. ; But also Isère, also affected by this alert launched both for the risk of thunderstorms and flooding.
This vigilance is scheduled until Monday, May 5 at 6 am.
On this Sunday afternoon, the instability “will strengthen in the southern half and thunderstorms will develop, bringing significant buns of rain and locally of hail”, warns Météo-France in its latest bulletin.
As in Paris and Lyon yesterday, the irruption of hail is therefore not excluded in a localized way.
The bad weather announced are in any case marked by strong temperature drops, sometimes greater than 10 degrees!
