They were six to claim the victory of this new season of The Voice : Gianni (Team Zaz), Mickaël Gallo (Team Patricia Kaas), Mega (Team Vianney) and Il Cello, composed of Levon, Salvatore and Sebastien (Team Florent Pagny). And after an emotional program, the public decided to appoint the group Il Cello as the big winner of the 14th season, succeeding in passing to Alphonse. Only a few hours after their victory, the trio agreed to answer our questions.
Gala.fr: Did you manage to sleep well after your victory or adrenaline was still present?
Sébastien : We slept very little, obviously (he laughs), and we still have trouble achieving what happened last night. It is really a consecration for the group that was created and we are happy and proud to have won this final. We were already proud to have arrived so far, but here, we even have the trophy, so that’s something!
Gala.fr: It is all the more crazy as you showed up solo with blind auditions and that it was Florent Pagny who later decided to make a trio. Isn’t it more complicated to imagine a three of three future?
Salvatore : We quickly got along and we realized that Florent Pagny had seen what we had not seen. Today is obvious. We get along very well, we already know each other well, we know our strengths, and it is very important.
Gala.fr: introduced you to The Voice, was obvious?
Salvatore : It was a personal challenge. I wanted to prove to myself that I could do it, the more the show advanced, the more I wanted to go far. It is an incredible human adventure.
Sébastien : I am a teacher and it was not necessarily in my immediate projects to embark on music. I initially wanted to confront professionals and know if it was possible to go further in my passion and possibly make it my job if I advance luck. And now, we have an opportunity that presents to us with Florent Pagny and we will try to go as far as possible with the adventure Il Cello.
Gala.fr: Suddenly, Sébastien, your teaching career is put in parentheses?
Sébastien : She will be in parentheses as soon as the school year. I will put myself on availability for a year and if it works for us maybe a little more.
Gala.fr: During this final, you interpreted your first title, A woman . Can you tell us about it?
Levon : This is a title that was written by Thierry de Cara and Mark Weld and it represents a lot for us. When they thought about the title, they wanted to know what was for us and what came the most, it was our entourage, the female gent: our mothers, our sisters, our friends … really all the important women to whom we owe a lot.
Gala.fr: Precisely, how do you have this final. With pressure or on the contrary, did you benefit from the present moment?
Sébastien : We had more pressure on the semi-final because there was the challenge of going to the final. The final, there was no competition, everything was going perfectly with the other finalists so we took advantage of.
Gala.fr: And what happened in your heads when Nikos pronounced the name of he cELLO as a big winner?
Salvatore : We had a little reaction time. We told ourselves that it was the reward for our efforts, because we had to organize to work, because we do not live next to it. We also wanted to pay tribute to Florent Pagny, we won for his return, we won for him.
Gala.fr: During the bonus, Florent Pagny expressed the idea of taking you with him on his next tour. A nice gift, right?
Salvatore : Yes, it was incredible. Already, it would be incredible to leave with him, but even more to share moments with him on stage. He is really a benevolent person. He’s a great gentleman!
Gala.fr: and record a song with him?
Sébastien : It would be great, that! (He laughs)
Gala.fr: What do you imagine for the future?
Levon : We have the plan to make an album, and Florent Pagny told us that he would be there to help us find the color of the album, to guide us. It will not necessarily be only French, it may be in other languages, but we will do everything for the album to be well received by the public which already follows us.
