A fire took place around 11 p.m., Friday May 2, 2025, on the Anse de Montmarin, in Pleurtuit, near Dinard (Ille-et-Vilaine). Forty annexes, arranged on racks, burned. On site, Jacky Dordoigne, a boating, notes the damage. “The annexes are plastic. It had to spread quickly ”he says, bitter.
No annex was spared from the fire. The damage, for the owners, amounts to several thousand euros. “Mine cost around € 500. So if we add the forty boats… ”indicates Jacky Dordoigne.
The storage racks were installed several years ago by the municipality of Pleurtuit. “The fire may be voluntary”advances Patricia Martineau, assistant to the town hall of Pleurtuit. Contacted, the prosecution did not respond.
A fire that brings together other problems
For the Association of Pleurtuit boaters and fishermen (APPP), this incident echoes other problems encountered by wet users for several months. “The car parks are crowded. Nothing is done to facilitate parking and limit access to hold to users only ”Fusige Françoise Legevel, secretary of the association. Members would like to develop a parking lot “For everyone” and a barrier to regulate access to the hold. “If an accident occurs in the water, I am sure that the firefighters would not be able to access the hold because of the blocking cars”regrets Françoise Legevel. The latter ensures that a “Animosity” Grows between boaters and tourists. “You have to do something”she says.
