Golden State may have regrets. As they led 3-1 in their series against the Houston Rockets, Stephen Curry’s teammates are now on the verge of elimination. Disappointing last night, the Warriors lost match 6 against the Rockets (107-115). The Californians had already lost match 5: the two teams are now tied in this confrontation, 3-3.

Rockets have checked opposing attacks

The Texans started the game well, continuing their address from the previous match. The Warriors were constantly lagging behind, without however finding themselves completely distanced. Jimmy Butler was the only Golden State player to show consistency in attack.

Despite a slight advantage, the Rockets continued to widen the gap after half-time, helped by the costly bullets of Stephen Curry. On the one hand, the leader multiplied the failed three -point shots, and on the other, he lost balls because of poorly insured passes and bad ball control. Golden State conceded 16 ball losses and 12 interceptions.

While the Warriors started the fourth quarter with only two points behind, the majority of the public thought that the match and the series belonged to them. But the latter crossed a long offensive scarcity, registering only 5 points during the first eight minutes of the last quarter. The Rockets took advantage of this dry breakdown to widen the gap.

The public of the Chase Center attended, helpless, this lack of offensive realism. Even Jimmy Butler did not escape this ineffectiveness. The latter will still have completed the match with 27 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists. Steph Curry, he scored 29 points, with a 9 out of 23 shots, including only 6 successes at three points out of 16 attempts. Gary Payton II (5 pts), Buddy Hield (0 pt) and Quentin Post (5 pts) did not know how to raise their level at the crucial time. Finally, Draymond Green also did not weigh in the scale: only 5 rebounds, 7 assists and 8 points for him.

On the Texan side, Fred Vanvleet continued his beautiful series with 29 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists, while Alperen Sangun added 21 points and 14 rebounds. Amen Thompson (14 pts, 7 Rebs), Steven Adams (17 pts, 5 Rebs) and Jalen Green (12 pts, 5 rebs) also came to increase the note.

Preview Clippers – Nuggets : Game 7, Win or Go Home !

Gregg Popovich is no longer the coach of the San Antonio Spurs

A new series will go to match 7

The series between the Warriors and the Rockets will therefore go up to a seventh game, like the one between the Clippers and the Nuggets. The young H-Town team had to pay attention to the mental aspect of the last meeting, and this was well understood by the men of Ime Udoka, who took the ascendant on those of Steve Kerr. The Rockets, full of confidence after their victory, will have the privilege of playing the decisive game at home.

The Warriors may have regrets after having cracked in the last two games, they who had their destiny in their hands.

With two consecutive successes, the Rockets have recovered the Momentum and now appear to be the favorites to qualify on Sunday. Stephen Curry could join LeBron James on vacation shortly …
