The Alouettes commercial area has experienced remarkable effervescence, important movements, for a little over a year. After the establishment of the McDonald’s brand (from July to December), the Intermarché de Franck and Sandrine Lopez saw its extension work begins and began those of asbestos removal and destruction of the buildings of the old supermarket. While the extension of Bricomarché also was in full swing. “We couldn’t do one without the other. We have been on the same project since starting, to have the parking lot and the same joint entrepreneurs, ”explains Michel Criqui, boss of the DIY brand.
A real project
In fact, the ballet of the excavators, trucks, the work of hammers, the different companies and their specificities have not ceased to animate the area, perfectly fenced for the safety of construction sites without bothering customers, as little as possible.
Customers have indeed adapted well thinking of the best that was going to come. If the Intermarché closed from February 15, it reopened on March 6, in the new building on 2,280 m² of sales area.
Brico has not closed
“Everything that was to the right of the store was placed on the left, we put tarpaulins, it was not easy, but I congratulate my employees who work in conditions that are not always convenient,” confides Michel. It continues: “Had the garden sector at 1,000 m², the building sector at 1,500 m² and the interior sales area of 340 m², on a previous total of 3,500 m² we will increase to 5,000 m². »»
“There will be 4 additional employees”
The covered part of the front opens on May 12, the opening will be on the side of the building extension. The purpose of the work is scheduled for early September. There is still the layout of parking spaces, the interior design of the furniture “because we change everything”. Total investment is between 2 and 3 million euros. The boss provides jobs “there will be 4 additional employees, we will be 14 throughout the store. »The electricity, plumbing, portable electro, garden and building materials will grow. “We are going to have a beautiful commercial area and good visibility” rejoices the boss with his wife Javorka, employee of the company.
