A wind of novelty blows in Nogent with the creation of singular spaces, thought as a real little village in the heart of the town. The initiative, carried by the EHPAD The link was primarily ambition to offer new benchmarks to residents. Successful bet thanks to the development of different places, baptized with names of evocative places and streets.
This project has taken on a particular dimension thanks to a fruitful collaboration with the city of Nogent. Together, plates have been made to formalize these new names. A participatory approach preceded this choice since the residents were invited to offer names, with the common thread: Nogentaise history.
The result is a vibrant tribute to the industrial and cultural past of the Citélière city. Thus, families, visitors and residents will be able to discover: the streets of blacksmiths, forge and steel, recalling the ancestral work of metals; The streets of knives and scissors, emblematic symbols of local crafts; Places of Coutellerie, a central place which honors Nogentais know-how, that of sports, space dedicated to physical vitality and conviviality, the Bernard-Dimey media library, which combines the culture and memory of the Nogentais poet and the Nutto’s Casset, for a more fun and surprising touch.
The inauguration of these new spaces took place on Monday April 28, in the bond premises. This event took place in the presence of local personalities, in particular the mayor of Nogent, Thierry Ponce, the director of the link, Céline Brémard, and elected officials of the municipal council as well as the families who contributed to this beautiful project.
