An/ plenary session – Abdou Mmbow on the diet in place: “You are waste public money”

During the plenary session of Friday, May 2, 2025, whose agenda concerned “the examination of the conclusions of the ad hoc commissions responsible for deciding on the requests for the lifting of the parliamentary immunity of Moustapha Diop and Salimata Diop deputies”, the Honorable deputy Abdou Mmbow reacted to the accusations brought against former ministers, public and political figures, among others. The parliamentarian said he was against the procedure to remove the parliamentary immunity from deputies, especially since the latter have already been tried before they even go to court. “The chairman of the law committee put the cart before the oxen. Today, we are talking about the procedure of lifting of parliamentary immunity, and he, he already talks to us about judgment. He talks to us about the High Court of Justice when we are not even at this stage, “he said.

Abdou Mbow regretted the multiple accusations aimed at brave citizens who contributed to the development of their country, citing in particular the case of 150 million concerning Abdou Aziz Mbaye, and the displacement of Ibrahima Macodou Fall, party, according to him, justify the expenses linked to the 100 million incriminated. Mr. Mmbow hammered that fathers and mothers who served this country loyally were dragged into the mud by the regime in place, fucking the honor and the image of these brave citizens at the foot. “You come to tell us about air conditioners […]while you know that the urgency is elsewhere. You must tell your Prime Minister to resolve the workers’ problem […] ».

The parliamentarian has pointed out the management of the current regime, notably evoking opacity and lack of transparency. “You are wasting public money … And so far, we have not yet seen the quarterly reports, especially the 1st and 4th reports,” he launched in the ministers present in the hemicycle.

“We accused Macky Sall’s regime of having stolen 1,000 billion CFA francs, but we forgot to tell the Senegalese that out of the 1,000 billion, 600 and a few billion were disbursible, the rest was intended for tax and others,” he concluded.
