ATP> Patrick Mouratoglou: “Even if I really like Alexander Bublik, I cannot agree with him on the current level of the Top 50”

Recently, Alexander Bublik had toured the canvas, addressing Mohamed Lahyani in his match against Jakub Mensik, during a change of side. Kazakh had notably released that tennis was less raised, five years back. An opinion that Patrick Mouratoglou does not share.

“Even if I really like [Alexander] Bublik, I cannot agree with him. For me, it is more the fact that he has lost; He was emotional in his own way, which is to be funny and to say crazy things. He says that the top 50 is much stronger today than five years ago. I don’t think this is the case. He cannot take Mensik as an example. We must not forget that he won a Masters 1000 in Miami a few weeks ago, beating Novak [Djokovic] In the final, so its level is much higher than its classification. Jakub Mensik quickly goes up in the rankings and it takes time to reach the top 10. He thinks that this guy is classified at this level, but that he plays in the top 10. Which is probably true. On hard, for sure, and if it is not yet the case on clay, it is probably for soon. He therefore plays against a player whose classification is lower than his real level. This is why he has this feeling, but I do not have the impression that it is true in general. I have the impression that the level is extremely high. Each player is in danger every round, but I think it was already the case five years ago ”analyzed the French coach, on his account Instagram.
