The studio of Stellaris and Crusader Kings 3, Paradox Interactive, has something “ambitious” to show us next week.
Although the team did not reveal concrete details, she reminded us that Paradox has developed and published strategy games for 25 years “which took you from the Roman Empire to the stars”, and suggested that she “prepared to announce the next major title of the genre”.
The mysterious new game – known only under the code name Caesar – was openly discussed on the studio forum in a number of ” Tinto Talks »Developer newspapers. During this period, the studio hosted community comments on its functional ideas, key game systems and historical research, but “the time has come to present Caesar to the whole world”.
The latest Tinto Talks – named after the studio that develops it, Studio Tinto, based in Barcelona – spoke of the mechanisms of Protestant religion and the “final situation involving all Western Christian confessions, the war of religions”, to come in its “Super -Secret game in the name of Code Project Caesar”.
This information, as well as the index that the ad video will be broadcast on the official Youtube channel of Europa Universalis, suggest that the mysterious project could be a new part of the series … but nothing is certain for the moment.
This did not prevent fans from speculating, and many of them have come to the same conclusion, namely that the project is probably linked to Europa Universalis.
“The Dev Diaries have not called it 5, but everything that has been presented to us so far,” said a player on Reddit. Another, responding to someone else stressing that the video will start on the Europa Universalis channel, has a teasing: “There may have been clues along, eh”.
