Vivo has expanded its range of products from the series by launching the new Vivo Y19 5G smartphone. This affordable 5G smartphone provides notable improvements compared to the latest generation model, the Vivo Y18 in screen, processor and battery terms. Regarding design, the general design of the smartphone has undergone a major change. For example, the rear now has a pill -shaped camera module, and the front is delivered with an U notch screen.
Regarding processors, Vivo replaced the Helio G85 entry -level chipset from the latest generation by the mid -range processor Mediatek Dimensity 6300 Mediatek Dimensity 6300. The 5G chipset is associated with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage, with a possibility of storage extension via a dedicated microSD card. In terms of software, it works with the Funtouch OS 15 based on Android 15, and there is no words on the brand’s software updates.
As for the rear camera, Vivo has revised downwards the characteristics of the camera compared to the latest generation. The Y19 5G has a double rear camera composed of a primary camera of 13 MP (down compared to the 50 MP of Vivo Y18) and a secondary lens of 0.08 MP. At the front, it has a 5 MP camera (against 8 MP for its predecessor) for selfies and video cats.
-The capacity of the smartphone battery is now more important than before. The device is delivered with a 5,500 mAh battery and supports the 15 W wired load. In addition, VIVO has slightly enlarged the screen of its latest smartphone, with a 6.74 inch LCD screen (against 6.56 inch for the Vivo Y18) with a resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels and a refresh frequency of 90 Hz.
Despite a battery slightly larger than that of its predecessor, the Vivo Y19 5G is finer than the Y18 (8.3 mm), measuring 8.1 mm thick and weighing only 199 grams. Among the other features, let us quote a sensor of lateral fingerprints, 5G connectivity and artificial intelligence functions such as Ai Erase, AI Photo enhance and Ai Documents.
Available in titanium silver and majestic green, the Vivo Y19 5G is sold at a price of 10,499 INR ($ 124.53) for the basic variant 4 GB + 64 GB and the 6 GB model + 128 GB is sold at a price of 12,999 INR ($ 154.19). The smartphone is now available on purchase on, the Vivo, Flipkart online store and other authorized sites and other approved resellers.
