He wrote at the age of 11 the first issue of a review that will become Salamander. Patron, for forty-two years, of the eponymous publishing house which publishes three journals and many books, Julien Perrot publishes his first work, A life for nature. Man who has become a reference in the naturalistic world evokes his passion and action there at the service of plants and animals. On the sidelines of the release in bookstore, on May 5, of this very personal account, the Romand biologist engages in the Temps.

Time: in your work, you note that being interested in insects, in the 1970s, was perceived as something eccentric. Is this always the case in 2025?
