(Keystone-ATS) “The workers are working on the assembly of wooden partitions and the installation of false-stalers, while technical work is progressing,” noted the BCU in its newsletter. A team of specialists is busy restoring the canopy over the large reading room, while ensuring its upgrading to energy standards.

“Meticulous work, requiring both precision and balance,” notes the BCU. As for the treatment tower, it lives at the time of the last finishes. A sign of the size and complexity of the building, the future premises will manage access to no less than 474 doors in the building.

The enlargement and restructuring of the BCU should display a total cost of 123 million francs. In the initial budget of 86 million, which included 7 million for moving and intermediate storage, was added an amount of 38 million, voted not without a harsh discussion by the Grand Council in March of last year.
