Charles Leclerc was very upset by his 6th place in the qualification of the Sprint F1 in Miami.
The Monegasque gave everything with its Ferrari SF-25 but the pace was really not there
“It was bad. The tour was good but the rhythm is still not there with this Ferrari.”
“It’s a bit frustrating, annoying but it’s like that. I will try to do my best tomorrow with the car but it will be difficult to do better, unless you do something special at the start.”
“To be honest, there was no way to do much better today, it’s the performance of the car.”
“We lose all over each turn everywhere, we do not have a particular weakness, perhaps a little more in the slowest turns. And still it changes from one circuit to another.”
Lewis Hamilton finished seventh qualification for the Miami GP sprint, just behind his teammate, whom he managed to stick. What to delight him? Half…
“It was a better session. The free was probably a little better, the car was a little better, it was a little more pleasant to pilot. We just lack speed, but we continue to work on it.”
“There are always ideas. Whether just or not … There are certainly lessons to be learned: changes in settings, car behavior, there is certainly work to be done to gain speed for the rest of the weekend.”
Can it progress during the Sprint race?
“Not really. I think all the cars in front are faster. I don’t know what to say else.”
