Hockey Canada has unveiled the names of the first 15 players who will represent the unifolié at the world ice hockey championship this year.
Led by the first choice of the last draft, Macklin Celebrini, the workforce includes nine attackers, six defenders and a goalkeeper for the moment.
Dylan Garand is the only identified goalkeeper. He has just concluded his third season in the American League, with the Wolf Pack of Hartford. In 39 games, the Hope of the New York Rangers presented a 20-10-8 file with an efficiency of, 913 and an average of goals allocated of 2.73.
Other players will be added to the group after the elimination of their team in the NHL series.
The tournament will be held in Sweden and Denmark from May 9.
During the 2024 World Championship, the Canadians had to settle for fourth row after a setback during the bronze medal match against Sweden. They had won the 2023 edition in Finland.
Blue Jackets DEAN EVASON pilot will be behind the Canada bench for this competition, accompanied by the Calgary Ryan Huska head coach.
