The Senegalese community in France is in turmoil after the disappearance of Khadim Dia, a 22 -year -old Senegalese student scored at the University of Valenciennes. The young man has not given any sign of life since April 10, 2025, an alarming situation which now mobilizes his relatives, student associations and local authorities.

According to the Federation of Senegalese students and trainees in France (Fessef), the report was carried out on April 15 by the Circle of Senegalese students of Valenciennes (Cesval), after several days without news of their comrade. Since then, an investigation for worrying disappearance has been opened by French police.

“Our comrade remains not found despite the research efforts carried out by his relatives, the CESVAL and the competent authorities,” said Ndour Mame-Gor, president of the Fessef, in a statement imbued with gravity.

The mystery around this disappearance thickened with the discovery of a farewell letter in his apartment located near the Mont-Houy campus. Added to this is the prolonged inactivity of his mobile phone, which has not issued a signal for several days. These elements have strengthened the concern around a possible transition to the tragic act.
