Senegal is a power in technological innovations, according to an official

Dakar, Apr 13 (APS) – Senegal showed in Geneva (Switzerland) during the 50th International Salon of Inventions which ended this Sunday, that it is not only a democratic model, but also a power in technological innovations, supported the head of delegation on Sunday, Pr Hamidou Datt, Director General of Research and Innovation.

Joined on the phone by the APS, at the end of this fair which awarded ten inventors out of the 12 selected who presented their processes, with five gold medals and four congratulations from the jury, Mr. Datt, said it was “very satisfied” of the results obtained by the inventors.

“Senegal, he explained, has embarked on an innovation research development strategy, tending to make it a real lever for economic growth”.

It is with this in mind that the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation has selected and accompanied 12 Senegalese inventors to “exhibit their innovations at the prestigious Geneva Inventions Fair,” he added.

Thus, the Senegal team has particularly distinguished itself in this show, with several gold, silver and bronze medals, and recognitions of several inventors’ associations, rejoiced the head of the delegation.
