The director of communication, HABIBOU DIA, announced this Saturday, April 12 on the occasion of the General Assembly of the Young Reporters Convention in Senegal (CJRS), good news for the Senegalese press faced, for many media that composes it, with financial difficulties.
Mandated by his supervisory minister, the representative of Alioune Sall revealed that their ministry has engaged for a few weeks with the agency for the development and supervision of small and medium -sized enterprises (ADPME) reflections to help, urgently, to companies in difficulty.
These consultations, initiated in a tense economic context, led to the creation of an emergency fund of 300 million CFA francs. A dozen press companies should benefit from it, said Dia. The official launch of this system is expected “from next week or that after”.
Beyond financial aid, the initiative also aims to strengthen the management capacities of beneficiaries. “It is a question of truly helping and supporting press patterns on financial governance elements,” insisted the communications manager, referring to a prior “diagnosis” carried out to ensure the reliability and efficiency of public intervention.
