Universal acceptance day: a plea for a multilingual internet in Senegal

A training workshop on universal acceptance (AU) opened on Saturday April 12 at UCAD II. Organized by the NGO Bokk Jang on the occasion of the AU day, this initiative which aims to strengthen the capacity of systems engineers and IT professionals, aims to integrate AU standards into local digital infrastructure, in order to guarantee a truly inclusive, multilingual and accessible internet, whatever the language or format of domain names.

According to Alex Corenthin, retired teacher-researcher at the Dakar Polytechnic School, “Internet development has been dazzling in recent years. It is no longer reserved for an elite, but accessible to the average citizen. It is therefore crucial that everyone can express themselves in their language, in their singularity. »»
