Romain Puso, center of Limoux, returns to his injuries and evokes the final stages in Super XIII.
First of all, how do you feel mentally and physically?
It’s been several weeks since I resumed the competition, it was very long, almost two years without playing. Mentally it does a lot of good, it is not easy, you feel away from the group when you don’t play, I really had to get back with my friends and the club in my city.
You have chained injuries for several seasons, how do you explain this?
I had a breakdown of the cruciate ligaments in April 2023 against Albi. Then in May 2024, following complications during rehabilitation, I had to be operated again, to finally resume at the end of January 2025. There is not necessarily an explanation for this, I think that these are big injuries that do not prevent, I have always given the maximum to come back as soon as possible.
A double but a very complicated start, how do you explain the performance of the team and how do you see your individual performance?
-Avignon started his match very well, we knew that it would be the case, given his last home game and the retirement of an emblematic player. On the contrary, we missed our start, then little by little with more lucidity, we took over, we must remember the beautiful reaction of the team by being led 18-0. Individually, I am satisfied to have marked, but it is collectively that the difference was made.
The workforce comes back to the full time, how do you approach the final stages?
I approach them positively. After a long convalescence, I am already happy to have found a place in the group. Now the competition is healthy and pushes everyone to surpass themselves to have their place, it is only positive. The rest is the law of sport and the choices of the staff.
Who do you think is favorite for the title?
Carcassonne and Albi are the first two in the championship, they were the most regular and play the semi-final at home. But this year, everything was very tight from start to finish, in the final stages everything is possible!
