With the Villefranche XIII academy, the local club is betting on the training of young people for the high level.

On the Super XIII side, the pennant team season is over and, quite naturally, your eyes turn to the 2025-2026 season. The club has confirmed that David Collado will still be the main coach in Super XIII. The training aspect within the club remains a priority.

Academy detection day

For this, the structure “Académie Villefranche XIII Aveyron” will play an important role. This structure is dedicated to the formation of the young rugby player in XIII, to the development of the player and the referee for the U15 and U17 categories. It aims to bring the members of the Academy to the high level. Of course, all the training work of the Youth School, which is aimed at everyone, supporters of the high level or leisure rugby, remains in place and will be reinforced.

For the U15 and U17 licensees which will integrate the academy, an individual program as a player or referee is set up. The player content will be made up of 9 hours of weekly sport, individual training of the player with the acquisition of offensive and defensive techniques, athletic development, weekly medical follow -up, as well as monitoring and tutoring.
