The Bandas Rugby Tournament has not aged since its creation in 1998.
Apart from the two years COVID, lovers of the oval ball have always been able to meet at the stadium to play, encourage and party the bandas.
The poppies, supported by the Gers rugby committee, master of ceremonies, will not be on the meadow on Saturday May 10, but will aim, as every year, to welcome this year another twenty male, female and mixed teams from all over France, in particular from the Mediterranean basin with Toulon, Martigues, but also teams Lot-et-Garonne, which will also come to doors with this open 5-playing tournament.
Last year, Layrac trumpetes were climbed on the highest step of the podium.
The evening will continue under a marquee, at the stadium, in a Bodega Rugby atmosphere during dinner and its cassoulet simmered by the masters-Queues of the poppies, who will align in the 200 covers (reservation on 06 75 47 28 53).
Open to everyone, the tournament meal will also be an opportunity to meet the godfather of the event, the former international Jean-François Gourragne.
The atmosphere promises to be Caliente at the Jean Trillo stadium.
