Anderlecht can count on a surprise card Sunday evening during the final of the Cup against the Bruges club: Mario Stroeykens is again available. The young attacker, who has established himself as one of the key elements of the first half of the season, returns to the injury at the time.
Mario Stroeykens was released on injury on the first day of the Play-Offs champions and has not played since. In recent weeks, he has worked out of sight to recover, with the aim of being ready for the final. He could have a role to play as a replacement.
This news obviously delights the coach Besnik Hasi, because Jan Vertonghen is also back. The defender has already played a few minutes against Antwerp on Thursday and no longer feels pain in his Achilles tendons. Stroeykens’ return represents above all a stroke of mental boost for Anderlecht.
