The Clermontaise Sophie Foucher, resident of the French team of Wushu (Chinese martial arts), returns covered with medals of her participation in the 16th international tournament of the discipline, in Catanzaro in southern Italy.
From Friday April 4 to Sunday April 6, she chained five Taolu events (codified movement test) and won four gold medals and one in silver. “This medal has a particular meaning, because I was out of category, being older than my competitors. These results strengthen my motivation to continue my commitment to Wushu and proudly represent France during the next international competitions”, summarizes the Clermontaise.
A French team united with an exemplary spirit that is well suited to Sophie Foucher, which combines the podiums. In early March, she won three gold medals and another silver in Athens. This same month, his podium in the French championship opens the doors to him with that of Europe which must be held in May in Heraklion in Crete. Saturday, April 26 through Wushu, it will represent the Clermont sport during the event “A tatami for all”. An event organized by the French Karate Federation and disciplines associated with the National Center for Training in Castelnau-le-Lez.
