According to the surveys made at 4:30 am this morning, coffee prices on the domestic market continued to increase sharply. The average purchase price reached 129,900 VND/kg, an increase of 2,400 to 2,800 VND/kg compared to yesterday.
Among them, Dak Lak and Dak Nong have reached the highest brand: 130,000 VND/kg. Lam Dong is currently at 129,000 VND/kg, while Gia Lai is 129,700 VND/kg.
This increase is considered to be the result of a strong increase in demand from China, while the supply has not been reconstituted in time due to the dry time. The main coffee production areas, such as the highlands in the center, face difficulties in terms of water resources, which affects the productivity and quality of coffee beans.
It is expected that in the coming times, coffee prices will continue to increase due to the scarcity of the offer. Coffee producers and exporters must quickly find solutions to guarantee supply, stabilize prices and meet the growing market demand.

News and coffee price forecasts for tomorrow (05/05/2025) continue to increase up
According to information updated from Giacaphe.com this morning (May 5, 2025), coffee prices in the key provinces in the central highlands region have suddenly increased, from 2,400 to 2,800 VND/kg compared to yesterday. Currently, the average purchase price is 129,900 VND/kg.
More specifically, the price of coffee in Dak Lak and Dak Nong has reached the highest level of 130,000 VND/kg today. The price of coffee in LAM Dong is 129,000 VND/kg, while GIA Lai recorded a price of 129,700 VND/kg.
This unexpected price increase is awarded by experts to the sharp increase in Chinese market demand for coffee market, while the interior supply has not yet been reconstructed due to the impact of prolonged drought. The main coffee production areas, such as the highlands in the center, face difficulties in terms of water resources, which affects the productivity and quality of coffee beans.
It is expected that in the coming times, national coffee prices will continue to increase due to the scarcity of the offer. Coffee producers and exporters must find solutions to guarantee supply, stabilize prices and meet growing market demand.
With great potential and a long history, Vietnamese coffee has every chance of conquering the most demanding markets around the world. However, to really open up to the world, this industry must focus on the construction of a sustainable production chain, from agriculture to transformation.
