Jill Sobule, emblematic folk-pop singer and LGBTQ+pioneer, died at 66 in a fire in her house in Minneapolis, in Minnesota. Authorities have not yet revealed how the fire started.

Born in Denver in 1959, the artist will have released a dozen albums dealing with complex subjects throughout his 30 years of career like the death penalty, anorexia, reproduction or LGBTQ + questions. His most famous tube is I Kissed a Girl Released in 1995 in his second eponymous album. Jill Sobule will have greatly participated in the representation of LGBTQ+ in main public pop music.
