After occupying the direction of the Fire Security Service of the landslides on an temporary basis for more than a year, Patrick Bouchard was officially appointed to this position.
Initially, he accepted the position in 2024 for a period of one year. It was at this moment that the sharing of the guard between the officers was developed.
Patrick Bouchard’s mandate promises to be very busy with the new barracks project and the regrouping process in fire safety launched in the Charlevoix MRC.
The main interested party does not hide that the regrouping interests him a lot and “that he prefers to be in action to answer questions of 25 members of his service”.
Patrick Bouchard has been a firefighter since 2012 and passed an officer in 2017 and became an interim leader in 2024. He is also a member of the SSI of Baie-Saint-Paul.
In the municipality, he is also deputy director of public works.
To return to the barracks project, the municipal council granted, last month, a mandate to the firm Regis to summarily analyze the feasibility of a renovation, enlargement or relocation project of the fire barracks.
