An investigation was opened after the discovery of the lifeless body of a 17-year-old teenager on Saturday afternoon, in a vacant lot located south of Sens, not far from a bank of the Yonne.

The alert was given in the early afternoon by a call to the firefighters, who intervened quickly on the scene. It was in this abandoned field that the emergency services found the young man, already died.
-“He is a 17-year-old young man and the whole municipality is very moved and seized with great sadness,” reacted the mayor of Sens, Paul-Antoine de Carville. He also indicated that he was waiting for the results of the investigation to understand the exact circumstances of the drama.
The public prosecutor’s office confirmed the opening of a “investigation in search of the causes of death”, adding that it had been entrusted to the DCOS. For the time being, no other detail has been communicated on the conditions of discovery or on the identity of the victim.
An autopsy should be performed in the coming days to clarify the causes of death.
