Nascar : Kyle Larson gagne l’Andy’s Frozen Custard 300 au Texas

Kyle Larson won the victory on Saturday in the XFINITY series in NASCAR holding after two extensions and taking advantage of his role as a pilot replacing in Texas Motor Speedway.

Larson led 32 of the 208 laps, and his chevrolet no 88 JR Motorsports had 1,265 seconds ahead of the checkered flag. His victory in theAndy’s Frozen Custard 300 was his second on the 2.4 km circuit of Fort Worth, his second in the Xfinity season and the 17th of his career in Xfinity.

Larson, accustomed to the Cup series, was called in the middle of the week to replace Connor Zilisch, injured at the lower back during an accident in the last round of the event at the previous weekend at the Talladega Superspeedway. Saturday’s race marked Larson’s third participation in Xfinity Series this year, and he had won his last two participations.

Taylor Gray finished second behind the wheel of the Toyota No 54 of Joe Gibbs Racing. Riley Herbst finished third, followed by Austin Hill fourth and Sam Mayer completing the top-5.

Justin Allgaier led the race three times for 99 laps three times, a summit for him, but his domination was hampered by an accident in the last special, leaving him 35th out of 38 cars. Allgaier had just brought back his chevrolet no 7 of JR Motorsports to the stands for his last stop, but he collided with the Chevrolet No 5 of Kris Wright, slower, in the middle of the turn 4, 45 laps from the finish. Allgaier’s car no 7 struck the exterior support wall and skidded until stopped in the grass of the straight line. The two pilots are unharmed.

The next race for the XFINITY series is the BETMGM 300, scheduled for Saturday, May 24 at the Charlotte Motor Speedway.
