It’s MatchDay again! After eight days of waiting, Feyenoord will play against Heracles Almelo tonight. The Rotterdammers have to get three points to stay ahead of FC Utrecht and keep the pressure high on PSV in the run -up to the mutual meeting of next weekend. The game against the number twelve of the competition can be seen from 6:45 pm on ESPN 2.
The KNVB has appointed Allard Lindhout as a referee for the game in Almelo. The 37-year-old arbitrator is assisted during the match by assistant referees Overtoom and Schaap. The fourth official in the Polman Stadium is white. From Zeist, Bos is responsible for the VAR, with Weterings as his assistant (Avar). Lindhout once whistled a duel from Feyenoord this season. The referee was in charge of the 0-2 won away match against FC Utrecht.
Feyenoord
Since the arrival of Robin van Persie, Feyenoord has been perfect in terms of results. The competition matches were won, although the game is not always good. The trainer understands if there is still criticism towards his team. “I think that’s right too. I also think it should be better in every team function. We are working hard on that. In our attacks we score twenty goals in the last seven duels, but we want more control.”
“Heracles has a good team with really outliers in a positive and lesser sense,” Van Persie told about the opponent in round 31. “They are good and normally it is to our advantage that they miss two basic players. That could turn out positively, but there will probably be two other good players.”
In the attitude of Feyenoord, only a change in the defense seems to take place. Gernot Trauner is suspended for the game in Almelo, so that Thomas Beelen can count on a base place. “Beelen is fit and has been training for a while,” Van Persie confirmed Friday afternoon. “He came in last week. Also from the point of view that Gernot Trauner cannot play tomorrow. Beelen is not a type that needs rhythm; he is there, is fit and young. That will be fine.”

Heracles Almelo
Tonight’s opponent is currently in twelfth place and is also sure of a year in the Eredivisie next season. In an exceptionally negative scenario, next week’s match against Willem II, knowing that PSV and NEC are the other opponents. Two of the last five games were won.
“We discussed that match firmly,” said trainer Erwin van de Looi about the last 4-1 defeat to FC Groningen. “We were trumped in the duels. That has not happened to us often this season. That should be better against Feyenoord if you want to have a chance to win a result. We have trained hard this week. We have to stand on the field with a good posture and mentality.”
