Miscellaneous facts. Barely three hours after the start of a fire on rue Heriot, the Drummondville firefighters had to intervene, on the night of Friday, for the fire of a residential garage on rue Saint-Rodolphe.
The sappers had barely had time to lay their weapons at the street barracks that the alarm resounded again around 1 h 4.
Another call, but this time to fight a fire that attacked a garage behind a residence, was heard in their radios. Upon arrival of the first team on the scene, the conflagration of this secondary building was generalized.
The firefighters quickly attacked the braid to avoid spreading to a nearby residence. This strategy made it possible to quickly circumscribe fire.
The occupants of the house had had time to evacuate the place. They were taken care of by a neighbor during the intervention. No one was injured.
A small portion of the street was closed to traffic by the SIUCQ stakeholders who, too, had barely had time to come back from the first call of the evening.
The cause of the disaster was not known when writing these lines. The investigation continued in the morning on Friday.
