The coach of the national female female team of futsal, Adil Sayeh, underlined on Wednesday in Rabat, that the Atlas lionesses argued their team spirit and showed their soul of champions to overcome a “very fierce” Tanzanian team and win the first African Cup of Nations of the discipline.

In a statement to the press, after the final won by Morocco (3-2) in the covered room of the Prince Moulay Abdellah sports complex, Adil Sayeh said “that he expected a difficult match”.

In this sense, he has highlighted the fighting spirit and the will of his protégés who have never given up.

While saying he is proud of his players who hoisted, once again, high the Moroccan flag, the national coach said that the team will “take the time to savor this coronation before starting the preparations for the World Cup which will be held in the Philippines”.

For his part, Jasmine Damraoui, one of the heroines of this coronation, said he was very “happy” to honor the national colors.

“Even when we were in great difficulty, we had not let go. We believed until the end and we knew that our efforts will end up paying,” said Damraoui, appointed best player in the competition by the African Football Confederation.

Same story with his teammates who have been honored and proud to win this very first title of the female CAN of futsal.

They unanimously sent their thanks to the public who supported them tirelessly.

The goals of Morocco during this final were signed Doha El Madani (20th), Drissia Korrych (34th) and Jasmine Demraoui (40th), while Anastazia Katunzi (4th) and Jamila Rajabu (16th) registered for Tanzania.

For its part, Cameroon took 3rd place by beating Angola (4-1).
