With Round tripthis young graduate in medicine is expanding her palette, in particular by assuming her electro inclinations. Looking for stability
Between survivinated pop (“lipstick”) and intimacy bubbles (“23/9”, “bad love” where she explores the blurred limits between female and sexual desire), Round trip illustrates the quest for stability of Orlane after a rushed period. “”Since the release of the EP, I have experienced three moves, five sentimental ruptures and four attempts to reconcile with the same person, not to mention my first big concerts, the signing of my contract with the source label (discoverer of Phoenix and Air, editor’s note), Lhe shuttles between Brussels and Paris where I recorded the album. They were only perpetual movements. My favorite song on the disc is called Slowed down. She describes this moment “Entre-deux” that I often cross. It translates the emotional elevator that I have known in the last three years.“
