Marc Márquez began a new chapter of his career in MotoGP last year – leaving Honda to pilot a Ducati Gresini. Now he is in the factory team of the manufacturer of Borgo Panigale, back in the struggle for the head positions.
The Spanish pilot explained during a press conference that, well if he feels the same satisfaction in the face of success, the situations are different when compared Ducati and Honda taking into account direct opponents:
– Satisfaction is the same. In recent years at Honda, I was fighting against other manufacturers, and it was different. Now, I fight against the same manufacturer, my teammate, pilots who drive the same motorcycle as me. They can see my data, I can see their data, and it makes things a little different.
From a technical point of view, Márquez admitted that the Ducati Desmosedici makes it more comfortable: ‘I remember that when I piloted the Honda, I was constantly struggling with the motorcycle, but even like that, I was there. Now, with Ducati, physical demand and all these things … I ride fluidly, I ride easily, and it makes me more relaxed’.
