Unveiled at the end of April in its entirety, after a long period of teaser, the new 100% electric utility of the diamond will however wait until 2026 to start its commercial career. It will then be time for his parent company, as for a slew of preparers, to consider his conversion to a motorhome in order to meet growing demand for this type of vehicle. There are more and more vacation followers, are more and more numerous, and do not hesitate to opt for a 100% electric mode of transport, for some of them.
However, these models are still rare, due to the low levels of autonomy offered and the additional cost to purchase. Among the examples of transformation, the Volkswagen Id.buzz has passed into the hands of the Dutch company Outbase, while the German of Pössl were responsible for converting the Citroën ë-Jumpy. For its part, Renault could make the difference with its new e-tech traffic, thanks to the high level of on-board technology, in order to reassure the potential customers.
A major asset for the new Van de Renault
Indeed, the diamond machine inaugurates an advantageous base delivering a tension of 800V, so far not very common in the automotive universe. Guarantor of lightning recharge time, it notably makes the days of high performance sedans such as the Porsche Taycan or the Audi e-tron GT, or even larger models at Hyundai (Ioniq 5 and 6) and Kia (EV6, EV9). Thus, on a quick continuous current charging station, the capacity of the Battery of the Renault Traffic E-Tech Electric thus goes from 15 to 80 % in less than 20 minutes. A solid argument to end the endless break time on the motorway areas or elsewhere.
A modular architecture at envy
If the capacity of its accumulator has not yet been revealed, Renault already promises 450 km WLTP of autonomy to its new baby thanks to its NMC (Nickel, Manganese, Cobalt) chemistry offering better energy density. A “battery” in the service of a tonic motorization delivering 204 hp and 345 Nm of torque, the whole resting on a modular platform of the “skateboard” type to make its length oscillate between 4.87 m and 5.27 m.
-Latest digital tools for both pros and campers
Cumulating within its 10 ”and 12” screens dashboard, the Renault Trafic E-Tech also promises a high level of update of its features thanks to a central, evolving and flexible software architecture, of SDV type (Software Defined Vehicle or Vehicle designed around the software). Tools initially developed for professional to ensure the longevity of their frame, and whose campers will also be able to take advantage, as are the vehicle-to-lot (V2L) and vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) features. This includes the possibility of loading external devices (V2L, from the vehicle to an electrical device) with an outlet in the cabin, in the loading space or via an adapter to connect to the load to connect devices (tools, computers, for example). Campers will also be able to integrate into the network and provide energy from their batteries (V2G functionality) from the vehicle to the network, thanks to the bidirectional charger.

Slide the cursor from left to right to testify to the changes of which the new Renault Trafic could be the subject by converting to the Plein-Air leisure. It is probably in great lines that the preparers will do so.
