The headquarters of the Ministry of Digital Transition and the Reformation of the Administration hosted yesterday 2, May 2, a marking event with the signing of a framework agreement between the Ministry and the General Directorate of National Security, aimed at strengthening institutional cooperation in the development of e-government and the generalization of digital identity.
The signature ceremony took place in the presence of the Minister Delegate to the Head of Government responsible for the Digital Transition and the Reform of the Administration, Ms. Amel Falah Sghrouchni, and the Director General of the DGSN, Mr. Abdellatif Hammouchi. The two parties stressed that this initiative is part of the high royal orientations aimed at modernizing public administration and facilitating citizens’ access to public services through digital solutions.
This agreement establishes the basics of an institutional collaboration between the two entities to stimulate a qualitative digital transformation, by emphasizing the generalization of the digital identity linked to the national electronic identity card (CNIE). The objective is to allow citizens to benefit from secure and fluid electronic services, while strengthening confidence in digital transactions thanks to an integrated identity verification system via a trusted third party.
Incidental in the “Morocco Digital 2030” strategy, this agreement constitutes a key step towards the realization of a modern, inclusive and entirely digitized public administration. It will replace the paper and presentation procedures of reliable dematerialized procedures, thereby improving the user experience and the quality of the services offered to citizens.
Sghrouchni said that this partnership will help accelerate the digital transition and simplify administrative procedures, while Mr. Hammouchi stressed that cooperation between security and digital sectors will strengthen personal data protection and facilitate access to public services with optimal security guarantees.
This collaboration is part of continuous efforts aimed at promoting digital governance and establishing citizens’ confidence in electronic services, with a view to building entirely digital public administration, meeting the expectations of Moroccans and aligned with global technological developments.
