The Festival Music and Gastronomy of the World, MGM for the initiates, announced its programming during a festive evening at the Michel-Legrand room, Friday April 18. On Friday, July 4 and Saturday, July 5, the Place du Concié will shine in a thousand lights to welcome artists, food-trucks and of course festival-goers. A milder weather was ordered to the saints of the day to enjoy a Festival without waxed, no rubber boots but with sunglasses and hats.

For this 31e Edition, Didier Trambouze, creator of the festival, presented the selected groups with, first of all, Valérie Ekoumé, Cameroonian singer Afro Pop, chorister of Manu di Bango, having collaborated with Mc Solar or Youssou N’Dour, who has a “culture of the scene quite extraordinary”, announces the director of the festival. “We will open with this artist. It will be an incredible party, ”he announces. Then, Eliasse, singer from the Comoros, will play in trio the blues of the Indian Ocean on the assisted. “They have a new album. They run internationally. It’s really the trio to discover on world music scenes. Also, Raïna Raï, Algerian Rai, a group formed in the 80s, will offer an electric rai, modern where we will find the influences of Diwane and Rock. “With regard to the news, it’s a great chance to have this Algerian group this year for this opening to the world,” says Didier Trambouze. Finally, Jupiter & Okwess, a group from Congo, whose tour in France, will go through Saint-Palais-sur-Mer, after Sweden and before Morocco to offer “energy for feet and food (Okwess) for the soul. »»

A scene “Samuel Honoré”

The village scene where the largest and most varied world music is welcomed as possible with DJs specialized in Persian, Lebanese, Oriental music, notably DJ Titouan and DJ Christina Monet during the 2025 edition, now bears the name of Samuel Honoré, graphic designer, photographer and creator of the MGM logo, died in December 2024.
