Sixty years after his birth, Guerlain’s very first male amber is available in an exclusive olfactory version with the help of Hennessy, another house in the LVMH group.

A Guerlain Assembly perfume “In the spirit of cognac”

Launched in 1965, waterproofing Habit Rouge has lost none of his superb. Timeless lines, notes of wood and leather supported by vanilla and tobacco: this bestseller, whose wake and patronym want to echo the interest of perfumer Jean-Paul Guerlain for the equestrian universe, celebrates this year its sixtieth anniversary with a new twist.

Unveiled in limited series, Habit Rouge Spirit is the fruit of a collaboration between Guerlain and the house of Cognac Hennessy. Here, the original perfume has been the subject of an aging process of several weeks in two oaks barrels – one of which has contained cognac for ten years – before being assembled in order to find the balance allowing to bring out new aromatic facets.

Under the leadership of Delphine Jelk, Director of Creation Perfumes and Perfumeuse of Guerlain, and Renaud Fillioux de Gironde, master assembler at Hennessy, Habit Rouge Spirit So keeps his emblematic olfactory signature while revealing new notes of powdery iris, nutmeg and, of course, a dense wooded character. Wood, a predilection material of this iteration, is also found on the hood of the bottle while the label is adorned with an effect mimicking the veins of oak.

From one edition limited to another, this unusual composition is also honored in a special “60th anniversary” version, a bottle with one liters of one liter dressed in a red leather sheath and enhanced with fine gold details painted by hand.
