The commissioners had, definitely, a lot of work this evening, after the short test of the Grand Prix of Miami de F1. Indeed, after the sanction imposed on Max Verstappen at the end of the race (10 seconds, Unsafe Release) then, the 5 seconds of which Oliver Bearman was received, several hours after the arrival, two other competitors were sanctioned, in Miami. And once again, these are pilots who finished in the points!
F1: Return to the situation for Alpine F1!
First pilot to lose very big, Alexander Albon, however classified fourth after this Miami sprint. The Williams Racing driver is penalized 5 seconds. Indeed, the Thais had not respected the minimum time to observe behind the safety car, at the end of the race, after the Fernando Alonso crash. Consequently, the interested party therefore leaves the point zone.
Second pilot victim of the vigilance of officials, Liam Lawson. This time, it is because of its attachment with the Aston Martin of Fernando Alonso, having resulted in the interruption of the race, that the New Zealand is pinned. Again, 5 seconds were entrenched in his end time, as well as a penalty point on his license. Like Albon, Lawson therefore loses his points.
So who are the beneficiaries of these final penalties? Well George Russell, launches Stroll and Yuki Tsunoda now rank, respectively, fourth, fifth and sixth. In addition, Kimi Antonelli enters the points, recovering a completely unexpected seventh place. But that’s not all since Alpine F1 also takes advantage of this profusion of punishments to position Pierre Gasly in eighth place. Either, a point for the tricolor. Here again, here is the revised and corrected classification and, hopefully, this sometimes final.
