And the penalties continue to fall with 5 seconds inflicted on Alex Albon and Liam Lawson after the sprint in Miami.
The sports commissioners heard the driver of the car 23 (Alexander Albon), the team representative, and examined timing, telemetry and on -board videos.
Albon has produced a minimum time recorded in the ECU in three consecutive sectors at the start of the security car period, which constitutes an offense in article 55.7 of the sports regulations. Therefore, the standard penalty is applied.
The sports commissioners found that the track conditions were not ideal but that no incident was reported.
-And in the verdict of the commissioners on the collision between Lawson and Alonso, Lawson also lost its points with 5 seconds of penalty. The New Zealand was not before the Spaniard according to the commissioners, when he attacked the Aston Martin.
His front axle not being clearly in front of that of Alonso’s car, the latter did not have to leave room outside and thus had the right to maneuver as he did. Lawson should have braked and not staying next to it and finally harpoon his rival. He also receives a penalty point on his license.
Oliver Bearman has already been penalized earlier (to read here). With this penalty, Albon loses his beautiful 4th place and comes out of the points, just like Lawson. Russell, Stroll and Tsunoda are progressing, just like Antonelli who takes two points and Gasly one point.
