Kenan Sofuoglu made a name for himself in the Supersport World Championship with several titles and is now the manager of Toprak Razgatlioglu – a talented driver, already a double world champion of Superbike, with ambitions for a future in MotoGP.
At the same time, the former pilot follows closely the first steps of his son Zayn in the world of mechanical sports. At just six years old, Zayn is already participating in karting events in the United Kingdom and is famous online for his driving skills. Kenan told Gpone.com that his son is even more famous than Razgatlioglu in Türkiye: ‘Zayn is more a star than me and toprak, without a doubt. When people stop us in the street or in front of a store, they first ask him for a photo and an autograph’.
Although the young “Sofuoglu Jr.” shows skills on motorcycles, the future that Kenan and his son continue does not reside in the motorcycle but rather … in success in Formula 1:
– It is very fast on a motorcycle, and it could already win now. I see him when he trains with us sometimes. He can follow Can Öncü or Bahattin [Sofuoglu]. But now we focus on four wheels. […]. The dream is to reach F1, however I do not want to build a Formula 1 driver, but a champion. This is our big challenge with Zayn.
